The Andean cat Alliance (AGA) has the mission to contribute to the knowledge and conservation of the Andean cat and its habitat along its distribution area, through developing three basic actions: research, education and support in the management of wild areas.

Our Objectives

1. To determine the geographic distribution of the Andean cat
2. To identify the causes of its low population numbers
3. To know the biology and ecology of the species
4. To determine the Andean cat conservation status in the four range countries
5. To establish an educative program, with emphasis on the sensitizing of the local inhabitants
6. To develop diffusion activities on the Alliance and about the importance of the conservation of the Andean cat and its habitat
7. To develop mechanisms of coordination for carrying out  joint initiatives among the range countries
8. To promote the creation of protected areas and the strengthening of the existing protected areas.
